Red light therapy is one of the easiest services to try at Regen + Wellness, and it's one of the most talked-about. You'll see it in athlete recovery routines, skin care conversations, and wellness podcasts. If you've been curious, this guide explains what red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, actually is, what a session at our club on 105 South Mission St looks like, and how to fit it into your routine.

What Is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy uses panels or beds of LEDs that emit specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light. The scientific term is photobiomodulation, which describes how light at certain wavelengths interacts with cells. Unlike tanning beds, red light therapy doesn't use ultraviolet light.

Research on red light therapy is active and growing, with studies looking at skin, muscle recovery, and more. Results vary, and red light therapy isn't a treatment or cure for any disease. We offer it as a relaxing, non-invasive wellness service.

Why Wenatchee Locals Try Red Light

Life in the Wenatchee Valley means short winter days and lots of time outside when the weather allows. People come in for red light:

  • As part of a recovery routine after skiing Mission Ridge, mountain biking, or trail running.

  • For skin and self-care. Many clients like adding red light to their skin care routine.

  • For a warm, calm break during gray winter months.

  • Because it's easy. Sessions are short and you don't need to change much.

What to Expect at Your Session

Getting set up

Our day passes include a 15-minute standing red light session. You'll stand in front of the panels, and our team will show you how to position yourself. Many people wear minimal clothing so more skin is exposed, but wear what you're comfortable with.

During the session

You'll feel gentle warmth, not heat. The light is bright, so eye protection is available, and you should avoid staring directly into the panels. Most people simply relax, breathe, or listen to music.

Afterward

There's no downtime. Head to your next service, grab a drink in our cacao coffee lounge, or get back to your day.

Which Day Pass Includes Red Light?

Every day pass includes red light, starting with our Basic pass ($39). That makes it one of the most affordable ways to try the club. For reference, here's what our day passes include at the entry levels: Basic ($39) covers the gym, 30 minutes of compression, 15 minutes of standing red light, whole body vibration, and a massage gun. Basic Plus ($69) adds a 15-minute communal cold plunge, the coffee and tea lounge, a 15-minute massage chair, a 15-minute Woojer vibroacoustic sound bed, and 10 minutes of Halo salt therapy. Supercharged ($99) adds a 40-minute communal infrared sauna and 10 minutes of ozone therapy. Supercharged Privacy Relief ($199) lets you choose a communal or private plunge and sauna and adds a B12 shot.

Our higher tiers, Ultimate Pain Relief ($279), Superhuman ($349), and Royal Unrestricted ($449), layer in services such as infrared laser, PEMF, vitamin shots, the hot tub, steam sauna, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Inclusions vary by pass, so call 509-888-2918 or ask at the front desk to confirm which pass includes the service you want.

For regular sessions, a membership is often the better value. Membership details and pricing aren't published online. Stop by the club at 105 South Mission St or call 509-888-2918 and our team will walk you through the options and help you pick what fits your routine.

Red Light Therapy and Infrared Laser: What's the Difference?

Both use light, but in different ways. Red light panels cover a large area with gentle light. Infrared laser therapy focuses light on a specific spot and is often part of a targeted recovery plan. Learn more in our injury and pain recovery guide.

Pairing Red Light With Other Services

Red light pairs well with compression therapy, the infrared sauna, and facials. Our team can help you build a visit that fits your goals. See everything on our services page.

Safety and Who Should Check With a Doctor

Red light therapy is generally well tolerated, but it isn't right for everyone. If you're pregnant, have a light-sensitive condition, take medication that increases light sensitivity, have a history of skin cancer, or have any eye condition, talk with your doctor first. This article is for general information only and isn't medical advice. Talk with your doctor before starting this service, especially if you're pregnant, take medications, or have a heart condition, blood pressure concerns, or any ongoing health issue.
